"We can and we must do better." should be our mission each day of our lives as we journey with the elderly in our communities. We should not only pray for the end of abortion but also the end of MAiD. We should be rallying to have more and better palliative care. In our busy lives, could we not find a few moments to call or visit someone who is elderly or sick and make sure that we ask what we can do for them, and then do it?

Palliative Care is not an option but is an integral part of the Church's mission! May Jesus, the Divine Physician, give us the light, strength and compassion to discover how we can best accompany and practically assist those who are sick, alone, abandoned, fearful, fragile, suffering in body, mind and spirit and those who are transitioning from this earthly life to Eternal Life with Our Heavenly Father. May we obey the Holy Spirit who calls us to this sacred mission!
