The Church invites couples preparing for marriage to view their upcoming wedding ceremony not as an end in itself, but “instead embark upon marriage as a lifelong calling based on a firm and realistic decision to face all trials and difficult moments together.” (Amoris Laetitia, 211) The Diocese of Calgary earnestly desires to accompany engaged couples in deepening their appreciation for the beauty of the Sacrament of Marriage by offering Marriage Preparation programs. Professionally trained and experienced facilitators will journey with couples to assist them in making Christ the centre of their new life together.
