Pro-life Events in May 2019

The Social Justice & Outreach Department is pleased to announce three important pro-life events taking place in May:

• Mass for Life: On Monday, May 6, you are invited to St. Mary’s Cathedral for Eucharistic Adoration from 5:30 to 7 pm followed by an annual Mass for Life presided by Bishop William McGrattan. For more information, please call 403-218-5516.
  
  
• March for Life: The 12th Annual Alberta March for Life will be taking place at Noon on Thursday, May 9 at the Alberta Legislature Building in Edmonton. The Knights of Columbus have arranged for buses to Edmonton, leaving Calgary at 8:00 a.m. and arriving back at approximately 6:30 pm. • Hike for Life: Come support Calgary Pro-Life Assn. on Saturday, May 11 from 8:30 am to noon at Prince's Island Park. The Hike for Life supports two Diocesan and CSSD-approved educational Respect Life programs presented to students in grades 5-12 at Calgary and area Catholic schools. People, of all ages and stages of life, including babies, are invited to come out to 'hike' to increase our witness to a culture of life! Join us for donuts, hotdogs, music, prizes and awards after! It is our prayer that each of these events will see an increase in attendance this year and that more people than ever before will attend the Mass, the March for Life and the Hike for Life.
