Christian faith is either an encounter with Him alive, or it does not exist” ~ Pope Francis, Desiderio Desideravi, no. 10.
This diocesan workshop equips clergy and parish liturgical ministers to celebrate the Easter Triduum, Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection, with reverence, unity, and joy. Through shared theological, liturgical, and pastoral formation, ministers are prepared to serve collaboratively so that the faithful may enter the Paschal Mystery more fully and fruitfully.

Clergy and representatives from the Parish Liturgy Committee, Lector, Music/Choir, EMHC, Altar Server, Sacristans, Liturgical Environment, Ushers/Hospitality ministries are invited to register online for this diocesan workshop in preparation for the Easter Triduum.

What this workshop offers

Part I: Theological Foundations | Encounter the Paschal Mystery
Picture
Discover the Easter Triduum as the heart of the Church’s life and worship. Participants will deepen their understanding of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection, exploring why the rites are celebrated, how they flow from Scripture and Tradition, and what they reveal for the faith and life of the Church.

Presenter: Fr. Nathan Siray, JCL
Chancellor, Diocesan Master of Ceremonies
Part II: Liturgical & Pastoral Formation | Serving with Fidelity & Communion
Strengthen participants’ understanding of the specific liturgical roles and responsibilities of each ministry during the Triduum, including the processes, resources, and preparation required for each celebration, in accordance with Paschale Solemnitatis and the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM).

The goal is to foster careful and faithful preparation so that the liturgy reveals, rather than obscures, the mystery it celebrates. Participants will also reflect on the pastoral implications of their ministry, considering how liturgical service deepens their own conversion to Christ, strengthens faith, and builds communion within the parish community.

Format: Participants will gather in small, facilitated liturgical ministry groups.
“Our life is not a random chaotic series of events… but an itinerary which, from one annual celebration of His Death and Resurrection to the next, conforms us to Him.” ~ Pope Francis, Desiderio Desideravi, no. 64
