Many Catholic couples married civilly long to have their marriage blessed in the Church but often find it difficult to prioritize amidst the demands of daily life. This sacramental step can open the door to fully participating in the life of the Church.
As part of the Diocesan Pastoral Renewal in this Jubilee Year of Hope, with its focus on strengthening family life, the Diocese of Calgary invites baptized couples married only once in a civil ceremony to have their marriage convalidated in a special Mass. |
