A Marian Celebration from Holy Trinity Parish, Blairmore

As we look back on Marian Week in the Rockies, we are pleased to share this special celebration from Holy Trinity Parish in Blairmore, Crowsnest Pass. As one of our parish communities in the Southern Rockies, Holy Trinity marked the Solemnity of the Assumption with prayer, music, fellowship, and a warm welcome to visiting religious Sisters.

Celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Holy Trinity Parish in Blairmore, Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a special Mass on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
​
In keeping with the spirit of the Diocesan Marian Week in the Rockies, our small parish in the beautiful Southern Rockies held a special celebration in honour of Our Blessed Mother. Fr. Joseph Nagothu and the congregation of Holy Trinity Parish gathered to pray the Holy Rosary and celebrate the Eucharist on this important feast day.

The Holy Trinity Parish Choir enriched the celebration and helped the congregation honour the Blessed Virgin Mary in a prayerful, joyful spirit.

Following the Mass, parishioners and visitors gathered in the parish hall for a wonderful breakfast, with plenty of delicious food and warm fellowship. A beautiful statue of Our Lady in front of the altar and in the parish hall added to the spirit and beauty of the celebration.

​During the same week, our parish was also blessed by the visit of several religious Sisters. Sr. Lidia and Sr. Anna from the Congregation of the Servants of Mary Immaculate, together with Sr. Josephina, Sr. Rachela, and Sr. Justyna from the Sisters of Merciful Jesus in Edmonton, visited Holy Trinity Church.

Their presence was a great blessing and inspiration to our parishioners. We were grateful for the opportunity to speak with them, share our faith, and enjoy fellowship together. After Mass, parishioners and the Sisters gathered socially and enjoyed warm conversation and friendship.

Our parish is blessed to be located in the beautiful mountain community of Crowsnest Pass, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We are grateful for the many visitors who come to this area and for the opportunity to welcome people from different places to worship and share their faith with us.

We thank God for the blessings of this beautiful celebration, for the gift of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and for all those who continue to strengthen and inspire our parish community through their faith and service.
